Two things I want to highlight this week:
1) Don’t let Watchmen get past you. If you’re not really into superhero stuff, Watchmen isn’t really that. But it is probably the smartest, most culturally relevant show of the moment. Give it a look - it’s clever fun.
2) Castle Rock is returning for a second season. I wasn’t crazy about the show - it draws together a large number of Stephen King stories and sets them in the same shared universe. I’m keen to check out season 2 tho - Lizzy Caplan has joined the show as Annie Wilkes from Misery. That sounds like wild fun that I need to see.
podcast:
This week on a special Always Be Watching Podcast we focus explicitly on Watchmen. It’s such a unique TV show that we wanted to go deeper on it. At the end of the podcast, Dan & Chris also chat a bit about the trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and how it sits along our expectations for the live-action series The Mandalorian. Check it out HERE.
