I'll save you long, plodding thoughts and instead leave you with the reality of this weekend in viewing options:

You'll watch it regardless of reviews or common sense because it's on Netflix and stars someone you like:
The Adam Project, a film starring Ryan Reynolds.

By far the best thing on TV, but you'll ignore this just like you did the first season:
Upload season 2, a smarter-than-it-initially-seems sci-fi satire on Amazon Prime Video. It explores the questions that arise from what happens if the afterlife is disrupted by tech giants and the wealthy elite.

It's got a great premise and hugely compelling cast, but it should be much better:
Horror-comedy series Shining Vale starring Courtney Cox and Greg Kinnear.

It has things going for it, but boy is there just a lot of TV around to watch right now:
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey starring Samuel L Jackson.

I wish I had watched the screeners because it might have something going for it:
That Dirty Black Bag - AMC+ has a whole bunch of low-ish budget, interesting TV series that are all worth a look. I'm concerned I'm missing out on something with this one.

returning:

Outlander (s06), Upload (s02), When Calls The Heart (s09), Kung Fu (s05), Good Trouble (s04), The Last Kingdom (s05), Grantchester (s07)
