Always Be Streaming - 27 August 2022

Boy, it feels like House of The Dragon was a billion weeks ago, but apparently it only launched just five days ago. Maybe it has just been a big week for *me*? It seems to be a quiet week on the release front beside from the flying dragon show, but I reckon that is mostly perception. There's quite a few decent-sized releases.

The Netflix Kevin Hart/Mark Wahlberg film Me Time is largely being panned, but it'll still be widely watched.

Meanwhile it seems like nobody is talking at all about the Stallone superhero film Samaritan. Is there a hunger for superhero stories that aren't from Marvel/DC? One could maybe argue for The Boys.

I haven't had a moment to watch it yet, but the quiet show of the week that is more than likely worth your time is Mo. It's an A24 series starring stand-up comedian Mohammed Amer. You may have seen his Netflix special, or his role on Ramy where he played Ramy Youssef's cousin. Youssef is on board here as a co-creator. Ramy is a wonderful gem of a show that too many folks overlooked, which makes this one a must-watch.
