Here’s what you need to know for this weekend:
- If you liked The Haunting of Hill House, the second season of the show tells a new story and is titled The Haunting of Bly Manor. Reviews suggest it isn’t quite as good as s1, but I’d suggest it is worth a look if you’re keen.
- The Good Lord Bird is GREAT. It’s really bold, over-the-top in all the best ways, and laugh out-loud funny. It’s a period comedy about abolishionist John Brown. You should definitely watch this one - especially if you’ve enjoyed shows like The Great or films like Django Unchained.
- NeXt is weak sauce. It so desperately wants to be a technology-driven 24, but it is tired and hacky. Kind of like later seasons of 24.
- Reviews for The Right Stuff have been middling. Maybe just watch the movie instead. It rules.
