The Good Lord Bird, The Right Stuff, and more are on your TV agenda this week.
Here’s what you need to know for this weekend:
If you liked The Haunting of Hill House, the second season of the show tells a new story and is titled The Haunting of Bly Manor. Reviews suggest it isn’t quite as good as s1, but I’d suggest it is worth a look if you’re keen.
The Good Lord Bird is GREAT. It’s really bold, over-the-top in all the best ways, and laugh out-loud funny. It’s a period comedy about abolishionist John Brown. You should definitely watch this one - especially if you’ve enjoyed shows like The Great or films like Django Unchained.
NeXt is weak sauce. It so desperately wants to be a technology-driven 24, but it is tired and hacky. Kind of like later seasons of 24.
Reviews for The Right Stuff have been middling. Maybe just watch the movie instead. It rules.
Pandora (s2), Urban Myths (s4), The Outpost (s3), The Haunting of Bly Manor (s2)
