I’ve put money into two Kickstarter projects. Both were terrible. One was a comic, another was the Veronica Mars movie. News today is that Veronica Mars is coming back in a new Hulu show. Fingers are crossed that it is watchable. Yeah, I’m salty.

Jordan Peele hosting The Twilight Zone revival? I am there for it.
One of my favourite shows in recent years has been David Simon’s HBO drama The Deuce. It is just getting started on its second season, with HBO today announcing it will be back for a third and final season. It really is stellar TV that more of you should be checking out - it’s a tough watch at first, but within an episode or so you can get into the groove of it.
What’s this? The proper trailer for the new Doctor Who series?
The interesting and very quirky Dietland series isn’t getting a second season. Not a surprise, but it was a show more people would have liked if they knew that Dietland existed.
Sam Newman is leaving the Australian Rules Football show The Footy Show after 25 seasons. I may have watched the show once.
Both Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser are pretty keen to see a Mad About You revival happen. I get the sense that they seem more enthusiastic about it now than they were in actually being on the show in the final seasons of its initial run.

It’s official - Star Trek Short Treks are coming to CBS All Access in the US. It’s not confirmed in the release that the shorts will be on Netflix internationally along with Star Trek Discovery, but I get the sense that they will be. There’s some interesting talent involved in this, including Michael Chabon and Jenny Lumet.
