Bill Cosby has now been sentenced and is expected to do between 3-10 years in prison. Cosby leaves a complicated legacy. Hugely progressive in terms of representation of African American actors on screen in the US, from I-Spy, through his stand-up, Fat Albert, TV commercials, and, of course, The Cosby Show. But, he’s also a disgusting monster.
The complicated nature of Cosby means that some tough decisions have to be made regarding his legacy. One decision was made: his Hollywood Walk of Fame star will remain. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce released this statement:
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a historical record of entertainment figures past and present. Once installed, the stars become part of the historic fabric of the Walk of Fame, a ‘designated historic cultural landmark,’ and are intended to be permanent. The stars only commemorate the recipient’s professional accomplishments. It is regrettable when the personal lives of inductees do not measure up to public standards and expectations; however, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce does not remove stars from the Walk of Fame.

Robert and Michelle King, co-creators of my beloved The Good Wife and The Good Fight, have signed a new deal with CBS for three more years that will also deliver two new series from them. Deadline reports that the two shows will also be written by the Kings, which admittedly has me a little nervous about the future of The Good Fight. There’s at least one more season of that show, but hopefully several more to follow in the years to come.
Finally, I am oddly impressed by the dedication to detail in the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 game coming soon. Apparently when the horses you ride go into water, their testicles ascend and descend within the game depending upon the ambient temperature and barometric pressure of your surroundings. It’s biology, kids.
