This month represents 90 years since the debut of Steamboat Willie - the animated short that introduced Mickey Mouse to the world. It was released November 18, 1928. As you would likely guess, Disney will be celebrating this anniversary in a big way.

Steamboat Willie, as a creative work, is set to enter the public domain officially (though, there is some conjecture that suggests it is already in the public domain) from January 1, 2024. But audiences today don’t really watch anything made before 1977, so don’t expect this to really mean anything.

The Little Drummer Girl follows brilliant young actress Charlie after she strikes up an acquaintance with an intriguing stranger while on holiday in Greece, but it rapidly becomes apparent that his intentions are far from romantic. The man is Becker, an Israeli intelligence officer who intends to kill a Palestinian terrorist who is bombing Jewish-related targets in Europe, particularly Germany, he entangles Charlie in a complex and high-stakes plot orchestrated by Israeli spymaster Kurtz.

Detective Inspector William Wagstaffe (Tom Riley), 32, is haunted by the murder of his parents during a family holiday in Spain when he was 16 years old. The killers are still at large and 'Staffe' is unable to let go until he finds them. It is probably no coincidence that after leaving school and joining the police force he rose quickly through the ranks to become Detective Inspector before the age of thirty.
The Reluctant Landlord [UK]

Much to his annoyance Romesh is left running the local pub after his mischievous father left it to him in his will. He has never wanted to be a landlord, but his mum feels it is the only way to keep his dad's legacy alive, and his wife and kids are having a ball there.
Tell Me a Story [US]

The world's most beloved fairy tales re-imagined as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern day New York City, the first season of this serialised drama interweaves The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.
