Before you think the brand new Masters of The Universe computer animated 3D series for Netflix is just another effort to mine nostalgia and utilise known IP, realise that Mattel is being incredibly faithful to the spirit of the original: it's part of a greater synergy that will include a comic book series by DC Comics, an upcoming feature film, and a reimagining of the 1980s toyline that hits retail shelves in Q3 2020.
Netflix series Daybreak has been cancelled after just one season. 15 year-old me is bummed out by this news, but current day me found the teen zombie survivalist show way too juvenile.
