Jon Stewart - back on TV later this year
Apple TV+ has unveiled the name of its Jon Stewart series - it’ll be The Problem with Jon Stewart. The show debuts in the US fall and is described with the following blurb:
“The Problem with Jon Stewart” is a multiple season, one-hour, single-issue series which will explore topics that are currently part of the national conversation and his advocacy work. Each season of the series will be further explored in a companion podcast to continue the discussion.
This is the first time Stewart has had a regular hosting role on a series since The Daily Show concluded in 2015. Interesting to me is that the show is being described by Apple as a “current affairs” series and not a comedy show.
The series will also have a companion podcast featuring Stewart that will continue the conversation from the show. No word on whether the podcast will be exclusive to the Apple Music platform.
