When the announcement came for season 4 of The Handmaid’s Tale, I fully expected to hear the phrase: “fourth and final”. But no, that wasn’t the case at all. Instead, the series will deliver a fourth season with, presumably, more to follow after that.

Amazon has officially cancelled five of its series - several of these are not surprises.
Gone is the Matthew Weiner anthology show The Romanoffs. I’ve seen more episodes of The Romanoffs than almost anyone on the planet and I still have two remaining episodes that I plan to get to one day.
One of my favourite series from last year Forever has been cancelled, which is great as far as I’m concerned - it wrapped up the storyline really nicely and I don’t really understand how there could be more anyway.
Too Old To Die Young, by director Nicolas Winding Refn, felt DOA to begin with. It was a show for a very niche audience - but that audience LOVED it.
Lore, based on a podcast, was cancelled. I’ll admit to never having watched it.
And RIP Patriot - a show I have high on my list of shows to get to. Apparently it is wild fun.

And finally…
Yesterday came news that voice artist Russi Taylor has passed away. Taylor had been performing as Minnie Mouse since the late 80s, but her voice is better known to fans of The Simpsons as the voice of characters that include Martin Prince, Uter, and the twins Sherri and Terri. Traditionally, when actors pass away from The Simpsons, their characters are also retired.
Taylor was married to fellow voice actor Wayne Allwine, who voiced Mickey Mouse, from 1991 until his death in 2009.
