Netflix has been working on Byron Baes, a reality docuseries about the influencers of Australia's Byron Bay. But step aside baes of Byron, Amazon Prime Video has some baes of its own.
Tampa Baes is an 8-episode reality docuseries filmed in Florida's Tampa Bay about a group of lesbian friends.
Meet the Tampa Baes: The young lesbian “it-crowd” navigating and celebrating life in Tampa Bay – Florida’s LGBTQ+ hub and the place to see and be seen. Always ready for an adventure or a good party, this group of loyal friends – and sometimes more than friends – is ambitious and unapologetic while constantly battling stereotypes and labels. With all eyes on these fun-loving women at this pivotal moment in their personal and professional lives, there’s not a challenge or hot-button issue they won’t tackle, even if it means getting real with each other.”
Not since Antz beat A Bug's Life to the cinema screen has there been such heated competition on screen. Which Baes series will reach streaming first? Tampa Baes is set for a Q3 release this year.
For decades to come, we will be talking about the Baes Battles of 2021.

CNN officially announces CNN+
It wasn't a secret, but CNN have officially announced it's plans for CNN+. We know now that the digital news service will be called CNN+, will be US only (at least, at first - one would assume that, like CNN on TV, there will be an International component at a later date), it will be a subscription service, it won't carry the CNN linear channels, and will launch in Q1 2022.
Why won't it include the linear feeds? CNN generates a huge amount of income from being carried on cable TV services. So, don't expect to see that change anytime soon. US cable subscribers will be able to access the CNN+ content through the CNN app that they already have access to.
CNN Plus will have original, live, on-demand, and interactive programming separate and distinct from CNN’s linear channels, the company says. At launch the service will have a “deep library of non-fiction, long form programming,” that includes past seasons of CNN shows like Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, This is Life with Lisa Ling, and United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell. The service will add new original programming to be announced later this year.

I Think You Should Leave has been Frinkiac'd
One of the greatest things to happen to the Internet is the searchable Frinkiac database. Fans of The Simpsons can type in a Simpsons quote and create meme's to share online.
In that spirit, I Think You Should Meme was born. Type in your favourite quote from Netflix sketch series I Think You Should Leave and hit that share button.
Last Week Tonight goes big on John Dillermand
Back in January, Always Be Watching reported on a Danish kids TV show called John Dillermand. The fascination with John Dillermand comes from the fact that Always Be Watching's writer/publisher is a massive child and highly immature.
Now John Oliver has discovered the kids show, which is about a man with an exceptionally lengthy, uh, well.... Just know that 'Diller’ is Danish slang for ‘penis,’ meaning that the name translates in English to ‘John Penisman'.
