Always Be Streaming is back for another year to let you know about the new and returning shows of the week. At the end of January, this newsletter is going to become an exclusive bonus for paid supporters of the Always Be Watching newsletter.

For this month, if you want to support the newsletter and make sure you keep receiving the Always Be Streaming guide, I've created a 20% off discount (which has an annual membership at AUS$29.97 - it is usually an already reasonable $37).

The biggest show of the week is probably The Bad Bunch, which is the second season of an animated Star Wars show. To be completely honest, I don't know how big a deal animated Star Wars shows actually are. They lack the mainstream buzz of the live action shows, but Disney marketing makes me feel like they are a big deal.

Among my peer group of middle aged wanker male friends, the launch of a new Nicholas Winding Refn project is a big deal. He's the distinctive director behind Drive and Only God Forgives. A few years ago he had a little seen Amazon Prime Video series called Too Old To Die Young. It kind of came and went, but it built a very loyal following among a certain sort of viewer - for these guys, the release of his Netflix show Copenhagen Cowboy is the TV event of 2022.
