There really is too much to pay attention to this week.

Thankfully you can probably save yourself some time and scratch Citadel off your list. Prime Video may have spent a reported $300 million on the show, but that doesn’t obligate you to watch it.

Here’s a few pointed reviews:

Elsewhere, there’s quite a bit that is worth your attention:

  • I adored Sweet Tooth in its first season on Netflix. It is less dark and far less upsetting than the original comic it was based on, but it’s a memorable post-apocalyptic drama with some surprisingly strong child performances. If you didn’t watch season 1 when it debuted almost 2 years ago on Netflix, you should swing back and give it a look.

  • From is a horror mystery show which seeks to capture some of the magic from the TV show Lost with some of the longtime Lost producers involved. It also stars Lost’s Harold Perrineau. So far any shows that sought to emulate Lost haven’t been especially good, but From season 1 had a lot going for it - strong cast, great tension, and exciting set pieces. I’m anticipating this second season will keep up the good work. It airs on MGM+ in the US, Stan in Australia.

  • Sam - A Saxon is based on the real life story of East Germany’s first Black policeman. It is Disney+’s first German original series (in the US it streams on Hulu) and is from Jörg Winger - best known for the very good Deutschland 83.
