It was always weird to watch Netflix live streaming events on YouTube (which it had done with some comedy specials and previous Tudum events). With Netflix fully embracing live streaming on its own platform, it is saying goodbye to YouTube.
For the first time, Netflix customers will be able to stream Tudum on Netflix itself. If you have forgotten, Tudum is the annual fan event that promotes Netflix programming. It is understood that this year’s event will be more like a variety show with musical performances.
It streams live May 31 at 5pm PST at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In-person tickets for the event will go on sale May 9 at 10 am.
There’s obviously benefits to hosting events like this in LA, but I do wonder if we might start seeing events like this in future years being held at the planned Netflix House experience centres. There are two set to open this year, with both occupying former department store locations with footprints of more than 100,000 square feet.
You can find details of the 2025 Tudum event at the dedicated Netflix landing page.

When all those CW DC TV shows came to an end, Greg Berlanti’s production company got a lot quieter. But right now things are ramping up again with three shows in various stages of development - Stillwater, based on the horror comic of the same name, has a series order at Prime Video. There’s also a high school mystery series at Hulu and a family drama at Max. The Max series is understood to fit the 15-episode model established by The Pitt (which has echoes of Everwood and Brothers and Sisters). Read: THR

When these entertainment companies remove TV show episodes from their streaming services so you can't get them anywhere else digital piracy suddenly becomes a lot more attractive.
It's happened with South Park with episodes with the prophet Mohammed. It's happened with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia as well. I'm sure there are other examples but these are shows I watch.
The reasons for Paramount+ removing the Nathan for You episode are pathetic in my eyes.
