Paramount+ will end Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It will be back for a six-episode fifth season (completing a five-year mission?). The news seems to be a little early, considering season three isn’t set to debut until July this year. UPDATE: CBS Publicity (by way of my email inbox) would very much like you to know that the show has not been cancelled - they just won’t be making it anymore. Read: Variety

As a parent with a toddler, one of my great frustrations is when streaming services lump all kids content into the same bucket. What appeals to a 3 year-old isn’t the same as something that appeals to a 7 year-old. The BBC clearly recognise this, having announced it is expanding the Doctor Who franchise with a new kiddie animated series for pre-school channel CBeebies.
