One thing a number of people noted by the trailer for The Mandalorian is how much it looked like a feature film. The reality of the show will be that it will likely feel fairly traditional with occasional large set pieces that lean hard on spectacle.

But… that trailer does play like a movie. And it is intentional. This is the dawn of TV as spectacle.
