All lists are subjective. So, take today's Rolling Stone 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time list with the amount of attention you think it should or shouldn't get. But it's an okay list.

As always, there's a lot of consensus ideas about what the greatest shows are with very little consideration given to the great shows on the fringes. For example, where was the very recent, recently cancelled, and depressingly under-watched Joe Pera Talks With You? Or The Knick? And then there's recency bias - like, where are great shows from yesteryear like Peter Gunn, or Alfred Hitchcock Presents, or That Girl? And then there's the fact it is so US centric. And really, I know they might feel distasteful right now, but how are The Cosby Show and Louie not on the list?

And how is ER not on the list? And how is Fleabag in there at number 5? Baffling.

The list was assembled by critics, industry professionals, and creatives. You can read a list of who participated HERE. Personally, I would have liked to have seen their own personal lists - I feel it'd be a much more interesting and varied read.
