On this very quiet morning for ABW...
Former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman appeared on stage at Coachella with guitar in hand playing a bunch of his own songs and themes he composed throughout his long Hollywood career.
But the showstopper was this: an extremely loud and extreme version of The Simpsons theme (for which he's been collecting royalty cheques for 30+ years).
Netflix set to explode some kittens
Popular card game Exploding Kittens is en route to Netflix as an animated series and as a mobile game.
The series is from Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead, King of The Hill) and Greg Daniels (The Office, Upload, King of The Hill) and follows the eternal conflict between heaven and hell when both God and the devil are sent to Earth in the bodies of chunky house cats. Exploding Kittens will star Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Abraham Lim (The Boys), Lucy Liu (Elementary), Ally Maki (Wrecked), Mark Proksch (Better Call Saul) and Sasheer Zamata (Woke).

Days returns to going beyond Salem
Streaming Days of Our Lives event series Beyond Salem (which had DOOL cast members old and new travelling the world for supernaturally-tinged artifacts, or some such nonsense) will return for a second season.
Fan favorites Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell will lead the sequel season which will also return other DOOL characters.
Beyond Salem will follow the characters to locations ranging from Hong Kong to Morocco as “heartwarming family reunions take a dangerous turn as a mysterious adversary wreaks havoc on their lives. The next chapter of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem is a story full of larger-than-life romance, jaw-dropping twists, and high-stakes drama — and it all connects back to a plot that long-time Days fans will surely remember.”
It returns July 11.

New CNN boss set to exit Twitter
Weird - apparently new CNN chief Chris Licht reckons being in an echo chamber is a bad idea.
Love Twitter as I might, I say this is a smart move for Licht. Twitter is great for giving a voice to the marginalised and in creating communities, but too often those on the platform mistake these conversations for mainstream sentiment, only to be disappointed by real world action. Licht is smart to get out from all of that.
May 2 will be my first official day in the office at CNN & my last day on Twitter. Twitter can be a great journalistic tool, but it can also skew what's really important in the world. I’m logging off & looking forward to working with the incredible team at CNN.

Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous debuts its final season July 21 on Netflix.
This will be huge news in schoolyards across the world, but the final Jodie Whittaker Doctor Who special will debut later this year on the BBC. Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred (Ace!) will reprise their roles.
The final season of Ultraman streams on Netflix in 2023.
It's not like there was nothing to discuss today - I found the above stories interesting. But boy has it been quiet so far this week. Tomorrow we will have Netflix earnings results. If numbers are down or don't meet expectations, it is going to be a huge story with major ramifications. So, stay tuned for that...
