The TV adaptation of Four Weddings and a Funeral isn’t good. But, dammit, I’m four episodes in and I know I’m going to watch them all. Meanwhile, Pennyworth - a British spy genre show about Batman’s butler as a young man is ridiculous as a concept, but the trailer looked like a lot of fun. I’m going to check that out this weekend and also catch up on new SBS drama The Hunting.
I’ve also been on a movie-watching spree of late. Over the last few nights I watched the dopey late 80s film Miracle Mile, which mixed in a pre-apocalypse drama with a romcom - strange film. And also the classic Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice, which was fantastic.
If you’ve watched anything off the beaten path, drop me a line. I’m always after interesting suggestions.
